Musical Sensory Playground Fundraiser by Megana
We are asking for your philanthropic support to help Morgan Autism Center (https://www.morgancenter.org/) in San Jose, California fill a crucial need for our underserved community. The goal is to help Morgan Center improve the lives of the people they serve in this community by creating an initiative to have its own Musical Sensory Playground on their campus. We would like to raise $14,500 to purchase 4 musical structures for the playground.
Improvisational music therapy has been shown to increase the social engagement and emotional expressiveness of individuals diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). It encourages independence, setting people up for a more self-supporting future. The Musical Sensory playground will give Morgan Center students access to improvisational music therapy.
The efforts to help Morgan Autism Center continue to offer this therapy to its students cannot be possible without the support of you and our community.
