About Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.

Support Morgan Autism Center This Giving Tuesday

Just one of the things that makes Morgan Autism Center so special: our cycling program!  Many years ago, we noticed the benefits of cycling: it provides our students and clients valuable exercise, balance training, benefits in focusing and shifting attention, a sense of accomplishment, and a chance to feel that wind-in-the-hair sense of freedom and autonomy. Additionally, we are launching a bike clinic that will teach our clients and students some of the basics of bike repair to keep our fleet healthy.

This year for Giving Tuesday, we are asking for your help in taking our biking program to the next level. We are in need of indoor storage to keep our bikes, trikes and adapted cycles safe, clean and in good condition. We also need a few new bikes, tools, bike parts and funding to implement our plan for a dedicated bike path on our campus. Please consider supporting our plans to grow our cycling program and reach our goal of $30,000 by donating this Giving Tuesday. There is nothing quite like seeing one of our students or clients take off on their own!
