About Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.

Support Morgan Autism Center This Giving Tuesday

When our campus closed in March due to the pandemic, we moved our entire program to a distance learning model and have been providing services online since. Once Santa Clara County began lifting restrictions, our Board of Directors, teachers and program directors began working on a re-opening plan that will require implementing additional measures to help ensure student, client and staff safety.

One of these measures include utilizing the incredible outdoor space we have available on campus. During last year’s Giving Tuesday, we were able to raise enough funds to purchase a pergola structure for our outdoor learning area. With all of the new challenges created by the pandemic, our goal for this year’s Giving Tuesday is to raise $30,000 to help us create more outdoor learning areas so our students and clients can have safe and comfortable spaces to work.

We hope you will consider supporting our Giving Tuesday campaign. Happy Holidays to you and your family!
